AWANA

Sunday Evenings 6:00pm - 7:50pm

At Coatesville Bible Fellowship, our Awana Clubs consist of 3 groups; Cubbies, Sparks and Truth & Training.  Each group is age specific and is directed by our friendly, well trained and skilled staff.  AWANA stands for "Apporved Workmen Are Not Ashamed."

Awana holds closely to 2 Timothy 2:15, which says, "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."

It is our desire, here at CBF, to see God growing your children through our Awana program.  Below you will find specifics about each Awana age group that is available at CBF.  If you want more details, please feel free to contact the church office.

Cubbies is for our potty trained 3 and 4 year olds.  Preschoolers learn best while they are touching, hearing, seeing, saying, and doing.  Cubbies has lots of hands-on and sensory activities that occupy Cubbies’ curiosity and arouse their interest in Jesus, God and the Bible.

Cubbies meetings consist of four club segments:

Cubbie check in time.

Starting Time:  The official start of club can include singing, pledge to flag, prayer, puppet skit, gospel presentation, Bible lesson and sharing praises.

Book Time:  Small group time to recite memory verses, discuss the Bible lesson and build relationships.

Play/Award Time:  Active time spent playing non-competitive games that reinforce the lesson.  Awards are given at this time.

Sparks is designed for our kindergarten through 2nd graders and includes four segments per club night:

Opening Ceremony:  This five minute segment includes pledge to the flag and opening prayer.  It provides a disciplined, structured start to the club.

Handbook Time:  During this segment Sparkies meet with their leaders in small groups.  This time allows leaders to disciple children by building relationships, listening to verses and helping them understand their meanings.

Game Time:  This is a fun high-energy time that attracts children to the club through fun Awana games.

Large Group Time is a segment during which the entire club meets together for singing, a Bible lesson, gospel presentation, testimonies, awards, presentations and announcements.

T&T club is for 3rd through 5th graders designed to help with their spiritual growth journey.

Four segments make up a T&T clubbers evening:

Opening Ceremony:  This segment includes pledge to the flag and opening prayer.  It provides a disciplined, structured start to the club.

Handbook Time:  During this segment children meet with their leaders in small groups.  This time allows leaders to disciple, build relationships, listen to verses and help them understand their meanings.

Game Time:  This is a fun high-energy game time.

Council Time is a segment during which the entire club meets together for singing, a Bible lesson, gospel presentation, testimonies, awards, presentations and announcements.
